Don't loose Fido….

Like it or not, technology has made it easier for the powers that be to keep track of our movements. So as long as we’re killing personal privacy, shouldn’t we at least leverage the same gear to keep tabs on our furry best friends? Qualcomm’s subsidiary Tagg isn’t the first company to integrate GPS tracking into a collar, but their Master Kit ($200) package should be quite appealing to anyone with an adventurous pet. Using a combination of GPS and Verizon’s wireless network, the system can provide owners with the dog’s exact location through an easy web interface. Owners can also mark off a safe “geozone fence”. If a pet leaves this zone, the device will send an email or text alert notifying you of the “escape” or let you know when the batteries are running low. The tracker is also light, durable, and completely waterproof, so there’s no need to worry about Sparkie ditching his tail, err collar rather. Essentially, it’s a canine LoJack — minus the jail time and orange attire.
